It’s the one interface element that will usually appear even when your program windows are maximized, so it’s not surprising to see several neat little tools made for it to be tweaked. Since it’s an important part of the screen interface, the taskbar usually also has a notification area that will show you interactive icons displaying real-time information about the state of your computer and some of your running programs. Taskbars are mostly for switching between programs that you’re using, and you can now even pin apps to it for easy access. You’ll see the icons of the active programs on it, and click and right-clicking on the taskbar will give you a list of commands you can do with it. It’s generally one strip at the edge of the screen that typically shows which programs are currently running. A taskbar is a part of a graphical user interface that has various purposes for the device it’s on.
